Women Are Great Multi-Taskers in Getting the Job Done
Women who are in busienss as executives, small business owners or work-at-home entrepreneurs all share one thing in common: they all have to be adept at multi-tasking. Not jut being able to talk on the phone AND balance the expense accounts at the same time, but also be able to juggle multiple business projects simultaneously. Being a multi-tasker is a must-do for the female business entrepreneur. In doubt? Ask my friend over at solomother.com. She would agree as well.
Is is that our male counterparts are expected to produce less, therefore are “excused” from the drudgery of everyday, simple tasks? Absolutley not! Is it because females have the ability to nod yes in agreement to a question while at the same time strategizing her next business move via conference call? Well…yes that’s a significant part of it but one of the greatest reasons why women are adept at multi-tasking is because of their uncanny and distinct ability to not just start a project but to see it through to its final destination. We always finish everything we start.
Now I don’t mean or imply that men don’t (cough) finish their projects, but it’s just that as women, we have that instinct to, shall I say “nurture” a project until it has “grown up.” Women want to passionately see a project through until its completion. Not just for a pat on the back, or an “atta-girl”, but to really see it completed.
When business women are successful at poject multi-tasking, there is an enormous sense of completion and satisfaction at a job well done. She usually has a short period of reflection, analytical discovery and personal praise. Then, it’s on to the next project.
What’s next on the list?

I have to agree that women are innately better multi-taskers than men. I see it in the workplace and at home, and it never ceases to amaze me. I think women are innately more productive, too.
