Today’s Business Question: How Do You Stay Motivated?
That’s right. What do you do when you don’t want to do what you do? As confusing as that sentence was, that’s how most of us feel when we start our day and find that we start fizzling out perhaps even mid-morning. But no matter what, we have to keep pushing and meet deadlines or scratch two to three things off that to-do list. So…
How Do You Stay Motivated?
Any tips or tricks to share with us that can help us all finish that big project? Or does everyone except me have it all together and don’t need a little pushing from time to time?
My foremost motivation is NO MONEY coming in if I don’t work, but that’s more of a fear thing than anything else. Tell me, what do you do?

Bridget, I convince myself that getting it out of the way now allows me time to do more interesting stuff later. I learned that from my mother, who always said, “If you get the dishes done right after dinner, you can sit down and relax.” Her advice applies to more than just dinner dishes. :))
And it does apply to the paycheck - directly. I remember the lean times that come when I’m not working. And I do something about it. The sooner I get this done, the sooner I can get it going, and the sooner I can get the check.

I like your advice Lori:)
I usually stay motivated whenever I’m reading a really, really good motivating book about someone! I’m not sure why- but it gets my fire burning for weeks– then when I start to slow down- I’ll pull out another one. There are so many fascinating people out there and books to dive into– I’ve learned to really love books again:)

I’m working and studying and my schedule is from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and then homeworks. I study communications focus on marketing and my job it’s also about MK. I found that planning regularly what I want to do with my life in a few years from now, or planning who I want to be, and making a plan of how I’ll get it really motivate me to make things better and to search for closer goals of life

I just posted about my favorite keep-on-task trick. I call it ‘going crazy’. Basically, I talk to myself. I think it’s the best motivational tool no one ever uses for fear it will make them ‘that mumbling crazy person’, but I swear to you, it works. If you want to come over and check out all the people who agreed that madhouses are way cool, swing on down. The link’s to that post.
