Starting A Business - The First Thing To Do
I took a look at this insightful post that Kristen made a few weeks ago that is so true. While my wonderful co-blogger and I will be writing and offering information on business and career planning, did you know the most important thing in any successful buisness is a good business plan? Yes, it’s true. Without one, you will be like a man driving with blindfolds on - - he’s moving along but he doesn’t know where he’s going.
(I love it!)
In March, I’m going to kick off a series on Business Planning 101 to help those of us (and I do mean us - me included) who perhaps need to develop a business plan, or tweak the one we have. There will be a lot of information on missions, objective, financing, etc. Now don’t get intimidated. This will work for you whether you are a home-based entrepreneur selling “widgets” or a corporate America Wall Street pro. Either way, we could all benefit from the solid, useful direction of a good business plan. I’m looking at the course lasting perhaps 6-8 weeks with LOTS of feedback, comments and particpation from you and your business model.
Any takers?

Anyone starting a business definitely needs a business plan, even if they don’t need funding. And most of us certainly need extra money.
This is a case of the “shoemaker’s children,” since I teach business plan writing, but I don’t have one for my own business. Yikes!
What’s first, Bridget?
