Fun Friday: Where Does Your STUFF Come From?
We’re full of fun here at the b5media Biz Channel ("You’re full of somehing!" my husband would say if he were here right now), and what’s more fun than the economy???? Today, we’re taking a look at socially conscious consumerism — and I’m not just talking about buying green.
Over at taxgirl, Kelly asks where the things you use each day come from. I’ll be honest: Not much of my stuff is US made. But in my defense, it’s HARD to find stuff made in the US anymore! We outsource everything, so my theory is that it’s our fault that foreign products are getting way more play than American ones are. There’s just not much to choose from that’s "Made in the USA" these days. Most of my stuff is made in China or "hecho en Mexico."
Here’s what other b5 biz bloggers have to say:
- Fun Friday: Who’s Economy Do Your Purchases Support? at Everyday Networker
- Fun Friday: Made in the USA? at taxgirl
- Fun Friday: Where do items for your home business come from? at Home Biz Notes
- Fun Friday: Made in the USA at Yielding Wealth
- Fun Friday: Ode to a Chinese boycott at Leadership Turn
What about you? Do you buy American-made products? Would you do it more if it would mean a better economy and an end to this slump?
