About Kristen King

Kristen is a full-time freelance writer-editor and consultant who started her own business right out of college, and juggled part-time obituary writing, magazine writing, nonprofit development, bartending, and nannying for about 4 months before the realization that working 24/7 with no health benefits was, frankly, totally sucky. She jumped into the “real world” for 20 months as a full-time staff editor for an international medical journal before making the jump to full-time freelancing — and freelancing only.
Two years later, Kristen’s working from her home office as a 26-year-old business owner with a husband, three cats, a bullmastiff, an English mastiff, and a pug. She blogs prolifically on women and business, women’s health, freelance writing and editing, and her menagerie of pets while balancing a variety of client projects spanning everything from marketing copy to clinical research articles to government proposal writing and then some. About Bridget Wright

Bridget is a happy (but sleepy) freelance writer, consultant and professional speaker and has had her own business for over 10 years. The decision to become a work-at-home mom was a particularly difficult one, since corporate America offered such stability and comfort, neither of which is found in new home-based businesses.
Bridget made the decision to be her children’s mother when she was just about to return to the corporate sector after six weeks off for maternity leave. She just could not do it. She aggresively sought resources and gained knowledge that would help her find her niche and stay at home to raise her own kids. Nothwithstanding numerous trials, errors and disappointments, she did find her way. In the process, she also found that she had an untameable entrepreneurial spirit that has allowed her to start and maintain several businesses and mentor other women who want to do the same. And that’s when the fun began!
Moms need flexibility, right? Bridget knew that she needed something that would allow her the flexibility that moms so desparately need but that would also keep her professional skills sharpened and still make a decent living. After multiple years of focus and determination towards that end, she found and solidified her mark in the business world as a church marketing consultant, freelance writer and professional speaker. She maintains several websites and blogs that are geared toward successful business and igniting that entrepreneurial spirit. At The Daily Exhorter website, you can find articles and strategies on effective church and ministry marketing. Her flagship blog at Bridget Wright will give aspiring and seasoned speakers and presenters the tools and resources needed to polish their speaking careers and make a six-figure income. She also writes a blog on Leadership Development, one on information and resources for the Work At Home Professional, and one of her most favorite and fun blogs at Banging Bags, which gives an editorial review on high-end designer handbags, high-quality handbags and business briefcases. Note: She’s still working through therapy sessions with this one since all of her extra income goes to buying designer handbags!
As a business woman, there are many challenges that women face in their pursuit of success. As an experienced business woman, Bridget shares her accounts of finding that success and balance at the same time. Travel with her on her journey, but hold on because the ride is fast but fun!
